This upgrade allows you to gain an industry-recognised qualification by completing the required portfolio, presentation, professional discussion, and practical assessment, building on your previous learning without repeating the full course.

Ideal for instructors who have already completed Reformer training and want to formalise their qualification and enhance their professional credibility. The YMCA Level 3 Reformer Pilates Instructor Course is a highly practical, equipment-based programme designed to take your Pilates skills to a premium level.

Everything you need to get qualified

The YMCA Level 3 Reformer Pilates Instructor course builds on your existing knowledge, adding the formal assessment components required for full qualification with YMCA Awards Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Pilates Studio Reformer: Groups. Here’s what the course covers:

  • 1 assessment day
  • Real-world client demonstration as part of your assessment

All of this is covered across a focused, structured programme designed to get you qualified with confidence.

What's new with YMCA Level 3?

As a regulated qualification, the course includes four additional elements not found in the original:

  • Portfolio completion
  • Professional discussion
  • Presentation
  • Awarding organisation registration with YMCA Awards

The venues, tutors, and hands-on teaching you already know from the original course remain exactly the same.

FAQs

As courses, qualifications and standards change, Future Fit is committed to ensuring our learners and graduates have access to the best accreditation routes for their career.

Take a look through our FAQs to learn more, or contact us if you’d like to speak to our helpful Learner Support team.

  • Why is the original CPD being retired, and what does “retired” mean?

We’ve made the decision to ‘retire’ the CPD to better reflect where the Pilates industry is heading. Increasingly, both learners and employers are moving towards full qualifications, which offer stronger recognition and long-term value.

When we say “retired”, we simply mean that we’re no longer offering the CPD to new learners, and our focus has shifted to the updated qualification pathway.

  • Do I have to change to the new version?

Not at all. You can continue with your existing CPD version of the course. You’ll have until the end of 2026 to complete it, so you can move forward in a way that suits your schedule.

  • What happens if I’m not ready by December 2026?

We know life doesn’t always run to plan! While 2026 is the official deadline, we may be able to offer additional time into 2027 where needed. We’ll always review this on an individual basis, so just get in touch, and we’ll support you in your training journey.

  • Can I still qualify without upgrading?

You’re welcome to complete your CPD as planned. The CPD version of the course is currently still the industry standard, allowing you to gain insurance and deliver classes. This Level 3 YMCA Certificate is available to learners who want to gain an accredited, full qualification.

  • Who can I contact if I have any questions?

Our Learner Support team is here to support you at every step. For questions: email us directly at support@futurefit.co.uk.
